The Core: What we're passionate about What is really important in the life of our church?  Where do our passions lie? These are questions that the Westside leadership has seriously considered before the Lord and His Word.  As a result, we've identified of a set of core values -- the things that are really, really important to us as a local church.
Searching for life's answers? Are you searching for meaningful answers to the basic questions of life?  If so, you're not alone. Many people sense an emptiness and lack of fulfillment to their lives. People these days feel restless, discontented, even bored. And they wonder why. Perhaps you're one of those people.
Eagle Fern summer camps Eagle Fern Camp has a full schedule of exciting camps this summer.  Accepting personal challenges, building and renewing friendships, observing the beauty of nature, being encouraged and giving encouragement and especially learning eternal truths from the Bible are just a few of the things to which campers can look forward.

Christ in the Passover If you missed the "Christ in the Passover" presentation at Westside on Sunday, April 15, you can see it here. Using a visual display of traditional Passover accouterments, Joshua Sofaer of Jews for Jesus gave a fascinating explanation of the Jewish Passover meal and explained how it relates to the Christian Lord's Supper and the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ.
"I have a question" People who are searching for a church home often have many questions about what churches believe and practice.  They often feel awkward just walking in the door of a church sight unseen. We understand this.  So here are answers to questions that people commonly ask about Westside.
Free online Bible teaching We sometimes say "Bible is our middle name."  That's because we believe the Bible is very relevant and authoritative for every situation that we may face in this life and the life to come.  Because God's written Word is so important, we often read from it and teach it.
Why are you here? It starts simply.  Usually a simple question. Why is this happening?  Who am I?  Why am I here? This is a safe place to ask.  A place to search, ask, and listen.  No order forms. No donations.  No merchandise.  Just things to read.  Things to watch.  People to listen.  No specific starting point.

What's in a Name?

BuildingExterior_5We're a fellowship of ordinary folks who believe Christ is the all-sufficient Savior.

We're "Westside" because we meet in Hillsboro west of Portland, Oregon.

"Bible" is our middle name because we believe the Bible is authoritative and relevant for every situation we may face in this life and the life to come.

We're a "fellowship" because personal relationships are important to us.  We're learning to encourage and serve one another.
