Family Bible Hour - 11:00 am

The Family Bible Hour is held each Sunday morning from 11:00 to 12:15. If you've never attended Westside before, we recommend this service as a good starting point.

Visiting for the first time? We suggest you stop by the special visitor welcome table located immediately on your left when you enter the front door.  We'll be glad to answer your questions and help you find your way around. Then come enjoy a free cup of coffee in the Fireside Room with other people who call Westside home. You'll receive a warm welcome.

During the first thirty minutes of the service, opportunity is given for worship through congregational singing, special music and other ingredients that help focus our attention on the Lord. We use a variety of music styles. Joyfully singing praises to the Lord is one of our great privileges. However, you don't have to sing if it makes you feel uncomfortable. Also, we do not take an offering at this service.

The last forty-five minutes of the service are devoted to the careful teaching of God's Word. We deeply desire that the Bible be central in all that we do at Westside. It's our only authority, and it reveals the very heart, mind and will of God. This is why we love to teach and preach with open Bibles. The rustle of Bible pages in Family Bible Hour is a beautiful sound!

Because the Scriptures are authoritative, we strive to interpret and preach them accurately and relevantly. God has given us His Word to bring about significant changes in our attitudes and actions. We believe consistent exposure to accurate and practical Bible teaching is critical to spiritual growth.

After the service our elders/pastors are always available to pray for you, provide you with more information about the church, or answer any questions you might have.

MP3 recordings of the weekly messages are available here. Audio CDs are available at Westside upon request.

Closed-circuit Spanish translation is available during the Sunday morning Lord's Supper and Family Bible Hour meetings. If you would like to make use of this service, ask for earphones at the sound booth at the back of the auditorium.
